Veterinary Technician Opportunity | $1,000 Sign-On Bonus | General Practice

Location: Thrive Pet Healthcare – Cedar Park
4807 183A Toll Road, Suite 102, Cedar Park, TX 78613

Schedule: Full-time, 3–4 days per week, 7:55 a.m.–6:15 p.m., including at least two Saturdays per month

Join Thrive Cedar Park as an experienced Veterinary Technician and provide compassionate patient care in a collaborative general practice. You’ll support wellness and sick visits, diagnostic testing, surgery, anesthesia monitoring, patient recovery, and client education.

Your Experience & Skills

• At least 1–2 years of hands-on veterinary clinical experience in a general practice or similar hospital setting required
• Current Texas LVT or nationally recognized Veterinary Technician credential preferred
• Proficiency in venipuncture, IV catheter placement, diagnostic sample collection, safe restraint, surgical preparation, and anesthesia monitoring
• Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus

Responsibilities:

• Support wellness and sick appointments as well as surgery, advocate for patients, and educate clients on vaccines, parasite prevention, nutrition, and post-operative care.
• Support efficient patient flow by obtaining medical histories, recording temperature, pulse, respiration, and other vital signs, and using low-stress handling and safe restraint techniques.
• Assist with procedures and surgery, including surgical preparation, sterile technique, IV catheter placement, anesthesia induction and recovery, intubation support, and anesthesia monitoring.
• Communicate clearly with clients by explaining patient concerns, reviewing treatment plans and estimates, providing medication and discharge instructions, and discussing Thrive Membership options.
• Maintain timely and accurate medical records
• Collect, prepare, and process samples (venipuncture, urine, fecal, cytology)
• Follow hospital protocols and maintain clean, sterile, and organized treatment areas, exam rooms, surgical suites, and laboratory spaces.
• Perform additional duties as needed to support the hospital and patient care.
