Interventional Radiology Technologist

General Summary of Position This position is a highly skilled technical and professional role assisting with all invasive cardiovascular procedures and other specialized interventional procedures under the direction of the Interventional Radiologist, Cardiologist, and Vascular Surgeon, in accordance with established protocols. Responsibilities include operating and documenting all aspects of the Cath Lab, providing technical skills to assist physicians, ensuring aseptic technique, maintaining equipment, monitoring patients, and participating in data collection for quality improvement. Primary Duties Operate and document all aspects of the Cath Lab, including all procedures performed. Assist physicians in performing Interventional Radiology and Cardiac Catheterization procedures, ensuring a safe environment for patients. Act as a Scrub Assistant, maintaining aseptic technique and ensuring adequate floor and room stock. Assist in recording, storing, retrieving, and analyzing data obtained during the procedures, and assist in monitoring patient hemodynamic, ECG, and angiographic data. Prepare radiologic and laboratory equipment for procedures, maintain and troubleshoot equipment as needed. Maintain a clean, safe, prepared work environment, restock supplies, and check drug supplies. Maintain current knowledge, certification, and licensure; identify learning needs and attend continuing education. Work effectively within and between departments, participating on inter-departmental teams and committees. Ensure appropriate sterile instruments and dosimeter badges are available; create quarterly exposure reports and maintain records of lead surveys and crash cart checks. Precept new Cardiovascular Lab technologists and assist in product count maintenance and equipment availability. Qualifications Vocational/Technical Diploma or associate degree in Radiology. 5-7 years of Cath Lab experience preferred. ARRT license as Registered Radiation Technologist in Maryland. CPR certification within 90 days. ACLS certification. Hiring range: $38.48 - $62.52 per hour. #J-18808-Ljbffr
