HR Genralist/Recruiter (Home Care)

We are seeking an experienced HR Generalist / Recruiter to support our growing home care organization. This role is responsible for full‑cycle recruiting, employee onboarding, HR administration, compliance, training coordination, and maintaining personnel records. The ideal candidate has experience in the home care industry and understands caregiver recruitment, state licensing requirements, and employment compliance. Key Responsibilities Recruitment & Talent Acquisition Manage the full‑cycle recruitment process for Caregivers Create and post job advertisements on Indeed, LinkedIn, ZipRecruiter, and other recruiting platforms. Source active and passive candidates through various channels. Screen resumes, conduct phone interviews, and coordinate interviews with hiring managers. Extend job offers and maintain regular communication with candidates throughout the hiring process. Develop recruiting strategies to ensure staffing goals are consistently met. HR Generalist & Compliance Coordinate employee onboarding and orientation. Ensure all personnel files remain complete and compliant with federal, state, and agency requirements. Verify licenses, certifications, CPR, TB tests, physicals, background checks, drug screens, and I-9 documentation. Monitor expiration dates and ensure timely renewal of required credentials. Maintain HR records within the HRIS system. Assist with employee relations, policy interpretation, disciplinary documentation, and performance management. Ensure compliance with labor laws, wage and hour regulations, EEOC guidelines, and home care licensing standards. Support internal audits and prepare documentation for state surveys and compliance reviews. Training & Employee Development Coordinate new hire orientation and mandatory caregiver training. Schedule annual in‑service education and required compliance training. Track completion of mandatory training and certifications. Partner with management to identify training needs and improve employee performance. Promote employee engagement and retention initiatives. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. 2+ years of HR Generalist and recruiting experience , preferably within a home care, healthcare, or senior care environment. Strong knowledge of home care compliance, caregiver credentialing, and employment regulations. Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and HRIS platforms. Proficiency with Indeed, LinkedIn Recruiter, Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace. Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information. Preferred Experience Home Care Agency HR experience. Caregiver recruitment and onboarding. State licensing and accreditation compliance. Employee training and orientation coordination. Personnel file audits and credential tracking.
