Production Operator (1st Shift)

Sigma, Inc. is seeking a Production Operator to support manufacturing operations in St. Albans, VT. This role involves performing front-line production processes, operating machinery, and ensuring high-quality finished products in a fast-paced environment. This position is part of the Nutra Blend business, a leader in manufacturing vitamins, minerals, and feed additives.

Key responsibilities include:

• Operate manufacturing equipment and support production processes
• Convert raw materials into finished products
• Perform packaging of final products
• Follow all safety protocols and promote a safe work environment
• Ensure adherence to quality standards and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Meet production deadlines and adapt to changing priorities
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area
• Collaborate with team members, leads, and management

Required qualifications include:

• Must be 18 years or older
• Minimum 1 year of work experience (any industry)
• Basic computer and math skills
• Ability to read, write, and follow instructions in English
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs
• Ability to stand for the entire shift
• Ability to perform physical tasks including walking, bending, lifting, twisting, pushing, and pulling
• Ability to wear company-issued PPE and follow all safety standards
• Comfortable working in a basic factory environment without climate control
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Comfortable working in hot/cold environments, and areas with dust and chemicals

Preferred qualifications include:

• Prior manufacturing or production experience
