Medical Director Rheumatology - US Medical Affairs

Johnson & Johnson seeks a Medical Director for Rheumatology to lead medical affairs strategy for the US Immunology organization. The role involves managing evidence generation, clinical studies, and cross-functional collaboration to support approved and pipeline rheumatology products.

Responsibilities

• Lead integrated evidence generation plans and strategy execution for rheumatology products and indications
• Oversee Phase IIIb/IV clinical trials and real-world evidence studies as Study Responsible Physician
• Collaborate cross-functionally with medical science liaisons, commercial teams, R&D, and global partners
• Support regulatory submissions and ensure compliance with post-marketing commitments
• Review and prioritize investigator-initiated study concepts for funding and monitoring

Requirements

• Medical degree (MD or equivalent) with rheumatology expertise or related immunology experience
• Experience leading medical affairs strategies and integrated evidence teams
• Knowledge of clinical trial design, regulatory submissions, and post-marketing requirements
• Cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management capabilities
• Strong scientific writing and manuscript/abstract development skills
