Respiratory Therapist - Full TimeThe respiratory therapist is responsible for assisting, evaluating, and maintaining quality patient care, from infants to elderly; collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members; providing physical and psychological support to patients, friends, and families. The respiratory therapist should maintain a positive working relationship with his/her staff as well as Physicians, LIP's and ancillary departments.Will be held accountable to the following Studer Philosophies and Principles:HCAPS Patient PerceptionHourly Rounding with intention.Bedside Shift Report.AIDET.Daily Huddles.Functions:Essential and nonessential functions duties as assigned.Required Skills:Graduate from an Approved Respiratory Therapy School.Must hold current license by the state of Kentucky as a Respiratory Care PractitionerProven strong clinical skills and strong communication skills.Required Experience:Minimum of two years' experience in the field of pulmonary and/or rehabilitation preferred.BLS certification – American Heart Association (Healthcare Provider) or American Red Cross (Healthcare Provider) required, must be current.ACLS, PALS and NRP certifications or within 3 months of employment.
