Float Position Available

This is a float position! Must be willing to float to all units including peds/child/adolescents and adults! Must be able to start on 6/9 - RTO will not be approved in the month of July! Effective 6/24/2024, any candidates presented to Brattleboro Retreat that live within 35 miles of the facility will be subject to a 10% rate decrease. Please include the candidates address or driver's license in the submission packet.

Works with the multidisciplinary team to identify individual and group needs and interventions. Utilizes the nursing process to meet the needs of patients requiring complex nursing care. Provides clinical supervision of MHW's to ensure safe and therapeutic delivery of care. The Co-Occurring Disorders Inpatient Treatment Program offers 24-hour care in a safe and nurturing environment that's designed to promote healing and ongoing recovery. Our treatment approach focuses on helping patients develop and maintain their sobriety while also managing co-occurring psychiatric issues (such as depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety disorders, etc.). The Co-Occurring Disorders treatment team specializes in providing high-quality intervention, medically assisted drug and alcohol withdrawal, stabilization, and the education needed to ensure a strong and successful recovery.

Submission Requirements

• 5 years of experience as an RN required (recent psych experience must be within the last 3 months) - REQUIRED
• Psych/Behavioral health experience and age groups must be listed on the resume - REQUIRED
• Must be willing to float to other units including peds/child/adolescents/adults - REQUIRED
• Must be willing to take charge shifts - REQUIRED
• Will consider first time travelers

Profile Requirements

• Resume with psych experience and age groups listed Ex. Psych RN - Facility - (AGE GROUP/POPULATION) - DATES
• RTO cannot exceed 7 days (RTO will not be approved 6/22-8/2)
• Psych skills checklist (within the last year)
• 2 supervisory references from last 2 years of employment
• Certifications - certifications don't need to be active at time of submission but must be willing to obtain. Please include CPI if they have it. 8 hours of NBO will be added to the COA if they do not have an active CPI since they will complete it onsite.
• License - confirm they are willing and eligible to obtain (please include this in the profile)
• Driver's license or candidates address must be included in the submission packet (35 miles or less will result in rate decrease)

Additional Submission Requirements for All Brattleboro Positions

• CPI - offered onsite; please confirm at time of submission
• Please outline what patient populations your traveler has experience with.
• Any scheduling requests must be presented in the submission file.

About the Facility

*Effective 1/5/2025 the BR will be all-inclusive for any OT hours worked. Holiday and call back will remain 1.25x the BR. The Brattleboro Retreat is situated in the Southern Vermont town of Brattleboro. Conveniently located near Interstate 91, a major North-South thoroughfare, Brattleboro is home to a thriving downtown. With a number of restaurants, pubs, and breweries (all located within a few blocks of each other), Downtown Brattleboro a foodie's paradise. The town is also a haven for the arts. It is home to historic theaters, galleries, and artisanal boutiques. For those who like to get outdoors and explore, there are no shortage of options in and around Brattleboro. The West River converges with the Connecticut right in Brattleboro's downtown, offering opportunities for swimming, fishing, canoeing, kayaking, and tubing. Within easy driving distance are a handful of local and state parks. Finally, there are close to 10 guided & self-guided biking tours that start right in town. Southern Vermont Information: Facility housing offered depending on vacancy. Should the traveler choose to accept facility housing, it will be $300-450 per week depending on which rooms/sizes are available. Agency is responsible for the leasing agreement and is outlined in the Client Specific Exhibit that was signed by your agency. OT: No multiplier, same as bill rate Holiday/Call back: 1.25x the bill rate - A minimum of 2 hours applies to any call-back services provided Unbillable Orientation: 0 hours nonbillable orientation if they have an active CPI, 8 hours nonbillable orientation if they don't have an active CPI Cancellation policy: Brattleboro reserves the right to cancel 3 shifts per 13 weeks Are locals accepted? Yes. Rate will be 10% lower if traveler resides within 35 miles of the facility.
