Transport Manager

Location: Carlton-on-Trent (Conveniently located adjacent to the A1 between Newark and Retford) Position: Permanent / Full-Time Hours: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM (Core hours with some flexibility) Salary: Competitive (Negotiable based on experience) McMullen Facades / JRL Group are seeking an experienced and organized Transport Manager to oversee all logistics, distribution, and yard movements at our East Midlands offsite manufacturing facility. Key Responsibilities Goods In / Goods Out: Manage the absolute efficiency of all incoming raw materials and outbound finished architectural components. Logistics & Bookings: Coordinate delivery schedules, haulage bookings, and site distributions to align with factory production lines. Cost Tracking & Budgeting: Take full accountability for transport expenditure, analyzing shipping costs, and identifying cost-saving efficiencies. Compliance & Safety: Ensure all transport operations comply with vehicle safety, driver hours, and yard health and safety regulations. Requirements Proven experience as a Transport Manager, Logistics Manager, or Senior Coordinator within construction, manufacturing, or heavy haulage. Strong financial acumen with experience tracking logistics costs and managing budgets. Excellent communication skills to manage hauliers, yard staff, and project managers.
