Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid) Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Ab Initio Developer with strong hands-on expertise in Ab Initio, Unix, and SQL to support enterprise-scale ETL and data integration initiatives. The ideal candidate will have experience designing and implementing data solutions, working with large-scale data environments, and supporting production systems.

Experience in the Banking domain is preferred, with exposure to Wealth & Asset Management considered an advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain ETL solutions using Ab Initio.
• Work extensively with Ab Initio GDE, EME, PDL, and Meta programming .
• Develop and maintain Unix shell scripts for data processing and automation.
• Work with enterprise schedulers such as Stonebranch, Control-M, and Autosys .
• Develop and optimize SQL queries using Oracle and Teradata .
• Participate in end-to-end implementation of ETL and data integration projects.
• Support data quality, data integration, and data architecture initiatives.
• Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolutions.
• Analyze technical requirements and translate them into scalable data solutions.
• Collaborate with technical and business teams throughout the development lifecycle.
• Support production deployments and ongoing system enhancements.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong hands-on experience with Ab Initio .
• Extensive experience with GDE, EME, PDL, and Meta programming.
• Strong Unix shell scripting experience.
• Experience with Stonebranch, Control-M, Autosys, or similar scheduling tools.
• Strong knowledge of Oracle/Teradata SQL.
• Experience with end-to-end ETL project implementation.
• Good understanding of data integration, data quality, and data architecture.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working in production environments and handling production issues.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the Banking domain .
• Wealth & Asset Management domain experience is a plus.
• Experience working with large-scale enterprise data environments.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
