We are seeking a skilled and reliable Diesel Truck Mechanic to ensure the safety and operational efficiency of commercial trucks, trailers, and construction equipment. In this role, you will perform routine preventative maintenance, advanced mechanical troubleshooting, and complete repairs on medium to heavy duty vehicles and equipment, supporting our operations both on and off-site.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventative maintenance on diesel trucks and trailers
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
• Respond to road calls and perform tire changes as needed
• Conduct welding and fabrication tasks
• Maintain and repair heating and cooling systems in diesel trucks
• Carry out DOT and safety inspections
• Service construction equipment including backhoes, bulldozers, and front-end loaders

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years hands-on diesel vehicle and trailer maintenance and repair experience
• Ability to work in all weather conditions
• Knowledge of South Jersey and surrounding areas
• Must be age 21 or over
• Possess own tools necessary to complete job requirements; specialized tools provided
• CDL A preferred; CDL B with clean record and ability to obtain medical card accepted
• Flexible schedule including some nights and weekends; minimum 40 hours per week with overtime available

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in diesel engine repair, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and electrical diagnostics
• Strong welding and fabrication skills
• Knowledge of DOT safety inspection standards
• Proficient in heating and cooling system repairs
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and adaptability
