Job Description
- Job Title: Talent Acquisition Specialist
- Base Salary: $85,000 - $95,000 USD, based on skill and experience.
- Location: Greater Seattle/Tacoma/Olympia, Portland, OR, Eugene, OR, Spokane, WA area.
- Work model: Hybrid (primarily remote, with some onsite support in Seattle/Tacoma/Olympia area)
- Travel Requirements: occasional work-related travel to career fairs, conferences up to 25%
- Reports to: Talent Acquisition Manager
JOB SUMMARY
The Talent Acquisition Specialist plays a key role in supporting full-cycle recruitment efforts across Indigenous Pact and its Managed Services Partners, with a strong focus on healthcare-related positions.
Working closely with the Talent Acquisition Manager, this role is responsible for identifying and engaging top talent, managing candidate pipelines, partnering with hiring leaders, and ensuring a positive hiring manager and candidate experience.
The ideal candidate is an experienced recruiter who is comfortable operating independently, building strong stakeholder relationships, improving recruiting processes, and helping scale a growing Talent Acquisition function. This individual serves as a trusted recruiting partner and subject matter expert, balancing hands-on recruitment with process improvement and operational excellence.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Source, screen, and recruit candidates for healthcare and administrative roles across Indigenous Pact and its Managed Services Partners.
- Partner with hiring managers to understand hiring needs, develop recruitment strategies, and provide regular market and pipeline updates.
- Build and maintain pipelines of qualified candidates for current and future hiring needs.
- Utilize creative sourcing strategies and recruiting tools to identify and engage passive talent.
- Extend verbal offers and support offer negotiations in alignment with organizational guidelines.
- Maintain accurate and timely candidate documentation within the applicant tracking system (Greenhouse).
- Assist the Talent Acquisition Manager in developing, documenting, and maintaining recruitment SOPs, workflows, and process documentation to support consistency, efficiency, and scalability.
- Identify opportunities to improve recruiting processes, candidate experience, hiring manager engagement, and recruiter effectiveness.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on recruiting best practices, Greenhouse workflows, and hiring processes.
- Exercise sound judgment and independently manage recruiting priorities while appropriately escalating complex issues.
- Collaborate with Talent Acquisition, HR, clinic leadership, and operational partners to support organizational hiring goals.
- Represent Indigenous Pact and its Managed Services Partners at career fairs, conferences, networking events, and other recruitment initiatives.
- Partner with agencies, vendors, consultants, educational institutions, and community organizations to support recruitment efforts.
- Stay informed on healthcare workforce trends, labor market conditions, and recruitment best practices.
- Help ensure a positive and inclusive candidate experience through clear communication, responsiveness, and professionalism.
REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Prior experience utilizing an ATS; Greenhouse experience strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to create, improve, and document recruiting processes, workflows, or SOPs.
- Strong understanding of full-cycle recruitment, sourcing methodologies, and candidate engagement strategies.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Strong consultative skills and ability to influence hiring decisions through data, market insights, and recruiting expertise.
- Ability to balance multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail and follow-through.
- Proven ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and take ownership of recruiting outcomes.
- Comfortable operating in fast-paced environments where priorities and processes may evolve.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and integrity at all times.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across departments and build strong working relationships with hiring managers and stakeholders.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Healthcare, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5+ years of full-cycle recruitment experience, preferably within healthcare, behavioral health, tribal healthcare, or high-growth organizations.
- Experience recruiting for mission-driven organizations strongly preferred.
- Experience developing or improving recruiting processes, workflows, or operational standards.
- Proven ability to successfully manage complex recruiting priorities across multiple business units, departments, or locations.
- Experience using recruiting metrics and data to drive hiring decisions and process improvements.
