Job Title Teacher Aide-Child Care Department Child Care, Infants/Toddlers Location Park Ridge Child Center, 1539 Long Pond Road, Rochester, NY 14626 Hours Per Week Per-Diem Schedule Day Shift, Flexible – Operating hours are M–F 6:30 am–6 pm Job Profile Summary Assist teacher in providing appropriate program for all children and maintain positive relationships with children and parents. Key Responsibilities Assist the teacher in providing a developmentally appropriate program for all of the children. Assist in creating an environment that supports children's growth and development. Develop and maintain a positive relationship with all of the children and their families. Effectively guide children's behavior in an age‑appropriate and positive manner. Constructively participate in staff meetings and meetings with supervisor. Meet the physical, social, cognitive, emotional, and cultural needs of individual children. Attend 15 hours of training every year. Communicate appropriately with families regarding children’s daily activities both verbally and written as needed. Ensure the safety of the children and promote good health habits. Minimum Qualifications One year of work experience with small children preferred. Licensure / Certification Skills None Physical Requirements Medium work: exerting 20–50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10–25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting. Pay Range $16.00 – $17.70 The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
