Make a lasting impression on our Veterans assisting them by: Performs general cooking duties. Mixes and cooks specialty dishes and delicate foods. Maintains records of food used and supply on hand. Maintains dietary work areas, equipment and utensils in a clean and sanitary condition. Ensures proper storage of food. The ideal candidate will work within a team-centered environment to meet our commitment to serving Kentucky’sVeterans by fostering Independence, preserving Dignity, and providing Compassionate Care. This job classification is approved for the following shift premiums, in compliance with 101 KAR 2:034 Section 9(2), which are applied to the base salary: Second and Third shift: 15% Weekend and Holidays: 25% Minimum Requirements Education NONE Experience, Training, or Skills One year of cooking experience in an institutional or large scale commercial setting. Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE Vocational training in food service will substitute for the experience on a year-for-year basis.
