Job Title Registered Nurse – ICU Location Lafayette, LA | Acute Care Schedule / Job Type Contract | Night Shift (3x12 Hours, 18:45–07:15) | Onsite Key Responsibilities Provide direct patient care in an intensive care unit setting with a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio and an average daily census of 44 Monitor, assess, and respond to critically ill patients during night shift hours Participate in every-other-weekend coverage as required by departmental scheduling Adhere to facility protocols including holiday coverage expectations — candidates must be available to work 2 of 4 designated holiday periods annually (Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's) In the event of an emergency, be prepared to remain at the facility until the event passes or serve as part of a designated relief team, as directed by unit management Required Qualifications Active Compact or Louisiana RN license — must be in hand at time of submittal Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS Minimum 2 years of experience in ICU specialty First-time travelers will not be accepted for this position AHA certifications are required Must live more than 65 miles from the facility (as measured from the address on file with the driver's license to the facility) to be eligible NURSYS report must be submitted with profile and must be current (within 4 weeks of submission date) Two Manager or Supervisor references (PDF format) will be required prior to start — Charge RN references are not acceptable Candidates who previously worked as permanent staff or in-house agency contractors at this health system must have been separated for a minimum of 1 full year before returning as a traveler Preferred Experience / Skills TNCC (Trauma Nurse Core Course) certification preferred Prior travel nursing experience in an ICU or critical care environment Why Join Us Work in a high-acuity ICU environment with a structured orientation program — modules are completed during orientation and are billable hours Opportunity to contribute to a dynamic critical care team with consistent scheduling expectations and clear unit standards Concentric Healthcare Staffing Job ID 790791.
