Education Coordinator

About This Role We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Infant and Toddler Teacher to join a Family Day Home. This role begins in a home-based setting, with the possibility of transitioning to a center environment as the program expands within approximately 70 days. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of responsive caregiving, safe sleep practices, and early brain development. The successful candidate will be a dependable, experienced professional capable of working independently while maintaining high standards of care and documentation. The Infant and Toddler Teacher is responsible for providing consistent, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate care in a structured environment. This role will support feeding routines, daily documentation, milestone development, and regulatory compliance while building positive relationships with families. This is a part-time role, approximately 20 hours per week, with schedule details to be finalized based on program needs. What You\'ll Do Provide responsive care for infants and toddlers in a mixed-age classroom setting, promoting a nurturing environment that fosters cognitive, language, motor, and social-emotional development. Support daily routines, such as feeding, diapering, and sleep schedules, in accordance with licensing regulations and best practices. Follow all safe sleep practices, health, and safety standards at all times, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for children. Plan and implement age-appropriate activities, adapting to individual developmental stages, and differentiating interactions to meet the unique needs of each child. Use positive redirection and developmentally appropriate strategies to guide toddler behavior, promoting self-regulation and social-emotional growth. Maintain accurate and detailed daily logs, including feeding, diapering, sleep, incidents, and observations, ensuring compliance with state regulations and program policies. Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting learning environment that promotes exploration and discovery. Communicate effectively with families regarding daily routines, progress, and concerns, fostering open and collaborative relationships. Support compliance with all state regulations, program policies, and licensing requirements, ensuring a high-quality and safe learning environment. Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability during program transitions, maintaining a professional and positive attitude. Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance classroom quality, staying up-to-date with best practices, and expanding knowledge in early childhood education. Requirements Experience working with infants and/or toddlers for a minimum of 2 years, with documented professional experience in a licensed child care setting Current TB test (or ability to obtain prior to start date) CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain before beginning employment) Ability to pass all required background checks in accordance with state child care regulations Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and actively engage with children throughout the day Reliable transportation and consistent punctuality Strong understanding of safe sleep practices and infant/toddler health and safety standards Experience maintaining daily logs and required classroom documentation Nice to Have Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field CDA (Child Development Associate) credential or equivalent Experience working in a licensed Family Day Home or center-based infant/toddler classroom Familiarity with early learning standards or curriculum planning Experience preparing documentation for licensing inspections Bilingual capability Experience mentoring assistants or classroom aides Knowledge of positive behavior guidance strategies Ability to work independently in a mixed-age classroom setting #J-18808-Ljbffr
