Inpatient Coding Auditor

To support the health information management team, the full-time Inpatient Coding Auditor will conduct complex audits of clinically coded data for accuracy and consistency, provide ongoing education to coding staff, and prepare reports and presentations, all while working remotely from 8 AM to 4:30 PM. Key responsibilities Conduct complex audits of inpatient coded data to assess quality and compliance Provide continuous education and training to coding staff and clinical departments Prepare reports and track audit results to optimize reimbursement processes Required qualifications High School diploma or equivalent; certification or relevant experience required Must obtain CCS or RHIT certification within 2 years if not certified upon hire Preferred Bachelor's Degree in Health Information Management or equivalent Proficiency in ICD10CM/PCS, CPT4, and HCPCS coding guidelines Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in coding or auditing
