Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Surgical Services team in Lewistown, Montana. This role offers a dynamic opportunity to provide comprehensive care across the perioperative continuum, encompassing both operating room (OR) circulating duties and post-anesthesia care unit (PACU) responsibilities.

The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring optimal patient outcomes by delivering direct patient care, collaborating with the surgical team, and managing patients through their recovery phase. This position requires a commitment to patient safety, clinical excellence, and adherence to established protocols in a fast-paced surgical environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert circulating nursing care in the operating room, ensuring a sterile and safe surgical environment.
• Deliver comprehensive post-anesthesia recovery (PACU) care, monitoring vital signs, managing pain, and addressing post-operative complications.
• Assist the surgical team as needed in various capacities, strictly adhering to established procedures and protocols.
• Conduct thorough patient assessments pre-operatively, intra-operatively, and post-operatively.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, documenting all interventions accurately.
• Evaluate patient outcomes, consult with other healthcare specialists as required, and adjust nursing care processes to ensure optimal patient care.
• Educate patients and their families regarding post-operative care and recovery expectations.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse in an Operating Room (OR) or Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) setting.
