Job Overview The Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care of patients. The clinic RN utilizes the nursing process through technology, therapeutic intervention, evidence-based practice, and coordination of care with other health team members in an outpatient clinic setting. Clinic RNs are pivotal members of the care delivery team headed by the physician and have specialized knowledge, skills, and ability pertinent to ambulatory care patient needs. Scope of Performance Perform general nursing care to patients by following established standards and procedures. Obtain patient consent and ensure confidentiality. Collect and document health history, chief complaint, vital signs, and assess disease condition. Provide patient care based on practice guidelines, standards of care, and federal/state laws and regulations. Execute prescribed treatments and medical interventions, administer medications, and monitor patient response. Consult with physicians, other health providers, and community resources to prevent or resolve problems. Educate patients and families about health status, maintenance, and management of acute and chronic conditions. Document assessment and intervention data using established medical record practices. Participate in multidisciplinary teams to improve patient care processes and outcomes. Track quality assurance data and monitor for acute and chronic care management. Shift Details Full‑time (40 budgeted hours). The caregiver will be scheduled for either five 8‑hour shifts or four 10‑hour shifts per week. Location: Holy Rosary Hospital, Miles City, Montana—supporting both the Holy Rosary OB/GYN Clinics and the Holy Rosary General Surgery Clinic. Scheduled weekly hours: 40, with an hourly range of $29.91–$45.33 based on experience. Physical Demands Regular attendance required on site during scheduled business hours. Ongoing need to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, and identify equipment. Frequent verbal communication with patients, providers, and visitors, requiring quick and accurate understanding, especially during emergencies. Manual dexterity to manipulate complex equipment with precision; frequent computer use and typing for documentation and medication preparation. Expected to lift, transfer, and move patients, carrying supplies up to heavy weights, and navigate crowded and busy rooms. Must walk, assist with patient ambulation, and push or pull gurneys and portable equipment. Must stand for extended periods in a stationary position. Eligibility & Benefits Benefits Eligible: Yes. Minimum Qualifications Graduate of an accredited nursing school. Current/valid Registered Nurse license from the state licensing board. Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification. One (1) year related experience in a clinic or acute hospital nursing setting. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Nursing. IBCLC certification. Wound care certification. Additional Information Assist with provider results, support lactation consultations, and provide wound care services.
