Job Title: Radiology Technologist

Certifications: Radiography (R) by ARRT is required

Description:
The Radiology Technologist will perform a wide variety of routine and advanced imaging procedures.
They will provide support for other imaging technologists as needed.
The technologist must facilitate smooth and efficient patient flow.
Demonstrating flexibility by working other shifts or at other campuses as needed is expected.
The technologist must troubleshoot basic maintenance, participate in quality assurance, and resolve issues related to image processing and the image archiving system.
There is an expectation to participate in ongoing education, safety, and technical advances within their scope of licensure.
The Technologist will adhere to and maintain the expected imaging competencies as outlined by management.
Behavior and communication skills must align with the organization's mission, values, and culture.
Responsibilities include meeting expectations of applicable competencies.
The technologist must demonstrate adherence to core values and maintain consistency with administrative and departmental policies.
Promoting staff growth and development through collaboration with management, coworkers, and physicians to create an optimal work environment is essential.
Providing meaningful assistance to radiologists and referring physicians promotes exceptional physician satisfaction.
All duties must be performed in a manner that protects the confidentiality of patients.
The technologist must adapt patient assessment and care methods to accommodate the unique needs of each patient served.
Ensuring compliance with all policies, procedures, and standards of care as deemed appropriate by regulatory entities is required.
Performing examinations and procedures as needed to assist in patient throughput is part of the role.
Demonstrating flexibility by working other shifts and at other campuses is necessary.
The technologist must ensure completed exams are scanned and stored correctly in the PACS system.
They must follow PACS downtime procedures as a PACS superuser and escalate any issues to the PACS administrator or designee if needed.
Troubleshooting and reporting any equipment malfunctions to appropriate personnel is expected.
The technologist may also perform other duties as assigned.
