## Medical Assistant - Per DiemApply: Troy, NY: Part time: Posted 2 Days Ago: R-0000025621Why Join Us?* Be part of a practice at the forefront of cutting-edge cancer care and advanced treatments* Access opportunities for professional growth and continuing education.* Work alongside a collaborative and compassionate team of experts dedicated to making a difference.* Enjoy the convenience of multiple locations throughout the Capital Region.* Contribute to groundbreaking clinical trials that shape the future of oncology care.Discover your career potential with a practice dedicated to excellence and innovation.**Job Description:**## **Pay Range: $17.00 - $23.48 per hour**### **\\*This is a Per Diem position\\***### ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:* Escorts patients to and from exam rooms, physician offices, and treatment room as appropriate.* Records patient data prior to each physician visit, including but not limited to, vital signs, height, weight, allergies, and medication changes.* Obtains all necessary patient records as required by physician prior to treatment or procedures.* Prepares and stocks exam/treatment rooms.* Assists physicians with exams and procedures as requested.* Maintains all exam/treatment room disinfection protocols.* Responds to patients’ calls as requested* Performs other administrative duties, i.e. typing, filing faxing, chart preparation, medical paperwork (FMLA, PFL), etc, as requested by supervisor or physician.* Alerts nurse/physician of abnormal vitals, any important information given by patient.**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:*** High school graduate or equivalent.* This is an entry level position requiring 0-3 years’ experience as a medical assistant or nursing assistant.* Current BLS certification required.**PHYSICAL DEMANDS:** The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
