Our Radiology Department plays a critical role in providing diagnostic imaging services, including mammography, angiography, and general radiography. We pride ourselves on delivering compassionate care and utilizing state-of-the-art technology like the AGFA System to ensure accurate and timely results for our patients. Role Overview As a Radiology Clerk, you will be the first point of contact for patients and a vital support system for our Radiology Department. Your role is essential in ensuring smooth operations by managing patient interactions, scheduling procedures, and maintaining critical records and imaging systems. You will work closely with patients, physicians, and hospital staff to facilitate efficient and compassionate care. What You Will Do Greet patients, answer telephones, and direct calls to ensure a welcoming and efficient experience. Schedule outpatient procedures and tests, and prepare surgery schedules to support patient care. Maintain and distribute x-ray films, reports, and patient records using the AGFA System. Process subpoenas and manage requests for outside films to ensure compliance and continuity of care. Keep the work area clean, orderly, and safe to maintain a professional environment. What You Will Need Required Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent from an accredited program. Ability to read, write, and follow oral and/or written instructions. Demonstrated discretion in handling confidential information. Effective communication skills and ability to establish rapport with patients, staff, and external contacts. Preferred Qualifications Courses in filing, typing, basic computer skills, general office procedures, and medical terminology. Related office experience.
