Environmental Compliance Project Manager

Overview Environmental Compliance Project Manager – US-MA-Raynham (Option to sit in Raynham, MA or Peabody, MA). We are seeking an experienced Environmental Compliance Project Manager to join our Boston, MA offices. As a Project Manager in the Environmental Practice for Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC), you will oversee environmental compliance projects in markets including manufacturing, mining, public sector and real estate. You will self-perform and manage project teams tasked with preparing and reviewing permit applications (air, water, solid waste), compliance reports (TRI, Form R, RCRA), compliance plans (Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasures Plans, Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans), and conducting compliance audits. You will be directly responsible for developing proposals and project budgets, managing the technical staff and producing technical reports, performing quality control, handling project-related administrative tasks, managing project finances, and driving business development efforts. You will interact directly with clients, contractors, and federal/state government officials. Project Managers at CEC partner with management to mentor and assist in the professional development of staff, including performance reviews and goal setting. Management will support your career goals through professional development and mentoring activities to develop project management, leadership, and business development skills. We conduct mid-year and end-of-year performance reviews and provide goal-setting opportunities. The pay range for this position is between $70,000 and $100,000. The hiring range posted is a good faith estimate of what Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. may reasonably offer for the role as outlined. Factors such as additional education and/or experience may influence the actual offering. Responsibilities Lead and manage environmental compliance projects across multiple markets (manufacturing, mining, public sector, real estate). Prepare and review permit applications (air, water, solid waste) and compliance reports (TRI, Form R, RCRA). Develop and implement compliance plans (Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasures Plans, Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans) and conduct compliance audits. Develop proposals and project budgets; manage technical staff; produce technical reports; perform quality control and project-related administrative tasks. Manage project finances and contribute to business development efforts. Interact directly with clients, contractors, and federal/state government officials. Mentor staff and support professional development goals within the team. Qualifications 10+ years of relevant experience in the manufacturing industry or environmental consulting. Bachelor\'s degree in Civil, Chemical, Geology, Environmental Science, or related field. Professional Engineer licensure (P.E.) or Licensed Site Professional (LSP), or other related licensure preferred. Demonstrates a clear understanding of regulations and can communicate obligations and requirements to clients. Stays apprised of new and changing regulations and understands how they will impact clients and their markets. Established client network and ability to pursue new clients.
