Job Description
Exciting Opportunity for ER Nurses!


- Shift: 12H Nights (eow)
- Floating: First to float
- On Call: 2 out of 28-day schedule

Position Highlights:
- Be a part of a dynamic emergency room/trauma center with 20 beds and trauma bays.
- Engage in a fast-paced environment with an average of 105 patients per day.
- Experience collaborative care: nurses manage their own ER holds as part of a 1:4 ratio, with support from floor RNs when available.


Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum 2 years in the Emergency Department
- Certifications:
- ACLS
- PALS
- TNCC
- NIHSS (AHA Only)
- BLS
- Skills: Proficient with Cerner EMR and maintaining sterile field; must pass dysrhythmia exam before signing contract.

Additional Info:
- Separate triage area and the ability required for travelers to perform triage.
- In-house security and a seclusion room for psych patients.
- Team-focused approach in a supportive environment with charge nurses and house supervisors present.

Orientation & Training:
- Complete mandatory SIMs Lab for Foley catheter insertion & central line dressing changes.
- Additional training on lifts, restraints, & wound care.

Scheduling Details:
- Shift times may vary: midshifts (11-11, 12-12, or 2-2); nights (1900-0700).
- Minimum weekend commitment: every other weekend.
- Holiday participation: same as staff holiday rotations, requiring 2 major holidays per year.
