Be one of the first to apply - offer rates tend to be higher at this stage Description American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position requiring 1 year of PCU experience and a VA or compact RN license. Details Acute care hospital setting with 255 staffed beds PCU/Telemetry unit caring for acutely ill adult patients with cardiac, neuro, renal, infectious disease, pulmonary, and other diagnoses Patient ratio of 1:5 Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00-07:00) Every other Saturday required, with Sundays off Uses Meditech charting system (experience preferred) Requirements Active RN license (VA or Compact) required BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required Minimum 1 year of PCU experience required Skills in IV therapy, central/peripheral line care, and cardiac drip management preferred Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and telemetry preferred Experience with respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP and tracheostomy management preferred Additional Information Coordinate direct patient care and provide patient education on a busy PCU/Telemetry unit Care for patients with a wide variety of acute medical conditions including cardiac, neuro, and renal issues Free parking available in any unrestricted space First-time travelers are welcome to apply Candidates must reside 50+ miles from the facility to be eligible for consideration Prior perm employment with the facility within the last 24 months disqualifies candidates RTO expectations scale with number of holidays falling within the assignment (work one of two, two of three, etc.) General RN orientation occurs every other Monday Zero-tolerance drug policy for THC, including medical marijuana cards Fit testing required, including shaving facial hair unless a medical exemption is approved in advance These details are based on information provided by the facility and may include inaccuracies or be subject to updates.
