Cutter/Grinder

Bring precision finishing, craftsmanship, and structural accuracy to our custom metal fabrication department! We are seeking a hardworking, safety-conscious Cutter/Grinder to prepare, cut, deburr, and smooth raw metal stock, structural plates, and welded assemblies to exact dimensional specifications using specialized shop cutting and grinding tools.

salary: $18 - $21.96 per hour
shift: First
work hours: 7 AM - 3:30 PM
education: High School

Responsibilities

• Operate manual and semi-automatic grinding wheels, metal saws, angle grinders, and deburring tools.

• Remove slag, burrs, sharp edges, and excess weld seams from metal components.

• Cut raw metal tubing, bar stock, and plates according to blueprint cut lists.

• Inspect finished surface finishes and component dimensions using calipers and templates.

• Adhere strictly to personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements and grinding safety standards.

The essential functions of this role include:

• working up to 5 hrs of overtime per week
