Quality Assurance Specialist

The Quality Management (QM) Coordinator is responsible for promoting quality programmatic achievement and performance improvement throughout The Salvation Army (TSA) Alegria through ongoing monitoring and departmental coordination of government contracts, licensing, and TSA requirements.

The position involves:

• Monitoring personnel requirements outlined in contracts and licensing regulations and ensuring human resource records include evidence of qualifications.
• Identifying and communicating training opportunities to staff with education requirements outlined in contracts and regulations.
• Assisting in the implementation and documentation of in-house training to ensure policies and procedures are followed.
• Recording client grievances and managing documentation of complaints and organization responses.
• Managing client file audits to ensure documentation is complete according to contracts and licensing and reporting results to the Quality Management Committee.
• Soliciting client feedback through survey and interview process that determines both access to and satisfaction with services.
• Maintaining current and accurate records of all relevant quality management communications, audits, and corrective action plans with regulatory and funding agencies.
• Meeting with the Quality Management Committee on a monthly basis to review grievances, incident reports, client feedback, outcome performance, and file audits. Maintaining accurate minutes of meetings.
• Maintaining the Quality Management Plan to remain current with policy, contracts, and regulations.
• Gathering relevant data and compiling statistical program reports for contracts and internal reporting.
• Auditing data collection to ensure statistical information is accurate and reflects requirements of contracts.

Minimum qualifications include:

• S. or B.A. Degree or equivalent with a minimum three years of working experience.
• One year experience working with cross-department projects using analytical and communication skills.
• Two years of administrative experience.
• Knowledge of County of Los Angeles Quality Management requirements.
• Must pass criminal records check, TB test, and physician screening.

Skills, knowledge, and abilities include:

• Demonstrate high ethics and integrity.
• Basic knowledge and sensitivity regarding issues of homelessness and/or HIV/AIDS.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written.
• Strong results oriented and detail oriented problem solving skills.
• Ability to maintain detailed and accurate records meeting QM deadlines.

Required education:

Bachelors or better.

Required experience:

Knowledge of County of Los Angeles Quality Management Requirements.

2 years: Minimum Administrative Experience.

1 year: Minimum Experience Working With Cross-Department Projects Using Analytical And Communication Skills.

3 years: Minimum Working Experience.

Required licenses and certifications:

TB cleared certificate.
