About the Position

TravelNurseSource is working with Malone Healthcare to find a qualified ICU/Critical Care RN in Kansas City, Missouri, 64101!

• Provide direct patient care in a combined 32-bed MICU/SICU environment at a 2:1 patient ratio
• Manage trauma patients and care for post-operative surgical patients, including hemodynamic monitoring and ventilator management
• Administer IV vasoactive medications and perform cardiac rhythm identification and management
• Assist with or support procedures including chest tube management, arterial and central line placement, CRRT, therapeutic hypothermia, ventriculostomy, moderate sedation, and ECMO
• Provide care for stroke patients in a Comprehensive Stroke Center and trauma patients in a Level 1 Trauma Center
• Float as needed to like units including NS ICU, Cardiac Telemetry, Progressive Care, Burn Unit, and ED Inpatient Overflow

• Active RN license valid for practice in Missouri
• ACLS certification required
• BLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience
• Advanced proficiency in hemodynamic monitoring and ventilator management

• TNCC certification (preferred but not required)
• Experience with ECMO, CRRT, and therapeutic hypothermia
• Familiarity with Meditech documentation system
• Experience in a Level 1 Trauma or Comprehensive Stroke Center setting

• Opportunity to work within a nationally recognized Level 1 Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center with a highly experienced clinical team
• Expected 48 hours per week with a structured schedule in a well-staffed unit supported by unit secretaries
