Senior Procurement Analyst Full Time Professional Newark, CA, US 6 days ago Requisition ID: 1296 Salary Range: $80,000.00 To $95,000.00 Annually Senior Procurement Analyst To provide critical analytical support to category managers and the VP of Procurement in order to optimize procurement processes, drive data-driven decisions, and ensure spend efficiency across a multitude of business units in the US, Canada, and Mexico. The Role will report to the VP of Procurement and involve interface with category managers, c-suite stakeholders, operational plant stakeholders, and suppliers. Duties & Responsibilities General: Provide leading commercial and market analysis to support procurement work Act as Lead Analyst on high profile procurement initiatives, and as a key interface with key business and supplier stakeholders Ensure analytical governance and reporting standards are upheld Champion the use of technology and digital tools within SPG Market and Data Analysis: Collaborate with operational stakeholders across plants to gather required spend data for group spend visibility and to support group procurement initiatives Ensure all procurement data is captured and referenced in a standardized form Develop and maintain procurement reporting and dashboards to drive data-informed decision-making Provide market and competitor information to keep the central procurement team up to speed with latest market developments relevant to the business Work closely with the VP of Procurement to ensure SPG’s data infrastructure is robust and fit for purpose Supporting Category Managers: Support Category Managers in the analysis of category specific data in order to formulate baseline spend positions, prepare tender documentation, tender analysis and benefit calculations Conduct supplier performance analysis required by category managers, including spend analysis and cost-saving opportunities Advise category managers on procurement data trends, risks, and opportunities Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or related field (Master’s degree preferred) 3+ years of experience in procurement, business analysis, or supply chain management Strong knowledge of procurement systems (ERP, data tools, e-sourcing tools) and advanced Excel skills (Power BI, Tableau a plus) Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills Ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels Experience in large-scale procurement transformation projects is a plus Travel Requirements Max 10% Travel as required for stakeholder meetings, plant visits, and in person team meetings REMOTE / HYBRID based on preference and management approval Knowledge, Experience, Skills Demonstrate sound written and verbal communication skills Commercially aware and highly analytical Ability to present data/ information positively, clearly and accurately Excellent presentation skills, displaying clarity and confidence The ability to maintain a structured workload amidst changing deadlines and multiple priorities Excellent research skills, and the ability to draw simple statements from large amounts of information & data Demonstrate proactive attitude, with both the ability and confidence to work independently, whilst having the initiative to know when to upscale as appropriate Be tenacious and focused using data to inform arguments Person Specification The ideal candidate will have: High capacity, energy and tenacity A strong academic background and have an agile approach to challenges Demonstrate proactivity, agility and flexibility to new challenges Strong verbal and written standards with a natural eye for detail Be self-motivated but able to work as part of a team and inspire teams Be an accomplished and confident presenter Be keen to learn and contribute their ideas Trustworthy and discreet when handling confidential information Have a smart appearance and professional manner #J-18808-Ljbffr
