Lead Site Reliability Engineer - Jersey City

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• Formal training or certification in site reliability engineering concepts, with at least 5 years of applied experience
• Demonstrated proficiency in reliability, scalability, performance, security, enterprise system architecture, toil reduction, and other site reliability practices
• Fluency in at least one programming language, such as Python, Java/Spring Boot, or .NET
• Experience using enterprise-authorized AI capabilities to improve SRE workflows, with strong validation practices and awareness of data sensitivity
• Ability to assess AI-assisted operational recommendations for accuracy and risk, establish appropriate team guardrails, and ensure outcomes meet resiliency and security expectations
• Proficiency in observability, including white- and black-box monitoring, service-level objective alerting, and telemetry collection
• Knowledge of continuous integration and continuous delivery practices and tools
• Proficiency with containers and container orchestration
• Experience troubleshooting common networking technologies and issues
• Advanced knowledge of software applications and technical processes, with developing depth in one or more technical disciplines and a habit of evaluating and recommending new technologies
• Preferred: Experience supporting large-scale financial services technology platforms
• Preferred: Familiarity with cloud platforms and containerized environments, such as AWS, Google Cloud, and Kubernetes
• Preferred: Knowledge of resiliency, disaster recovery, technology lifecycle, or capacity management practices
• Preferred: Experience delivering automation, observability, or operational excellence initiatives
• Preferred: Familiarity with FinOps, infrastructure optimization, or cost management
• Preferred: Relevant certifications, such as AWS, Google Cloud, FinOps, Kubernetes, ITIL, or SRE

• Champion site reliability practices and culture, documenting and sharing knowledge through internal forums and communities of practice
• Lead data-driven efforts to improve application and platform reliability and stability, identify service-level improvements, and resolve technology bottlenecks
• Work with the team to define service-level indicators and partner with stakeholders to establish suitable service-level objectives and error budgets
• Use enterprise-authorized AI capabilities to support major-incident triage, troubleshooting, and post-incident analysis, validating results and handling operational data according to its sensitivity and security requirements
• Serve as the primary contact for major incidents affecting your application and rapidly identify and resolve issues to help prevent business losses
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineers
• Lead adoption of reusable AI-assisted reliability workflows across SDLC and toolchain practices, including CI/CD quality checks, test and validation automation, and operational readiness, while ensuring traceability, auditability, resiliency, and security controls
