Associate Director, Midwest Project Engineering

Associate Director of project engineering leading regional design and construction initiatives supporting AbbVie's R&D pipeline. Responsible for managing multiple concurrent projects, teams, and budgets while ensuring compliance and strategic alignment with business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Lead planning, development, and execution of regional design and construction projects
- Manage multiple concurrent projects while maintaining budget control and organizational objectives
- Assess project risks early and implement mitigation strategies with sound design practices
- Supervise vendor relationships, contract negotiations, and performance evaluations
- Mentor engineers and technicians across functions; evaluate team performance and development needs
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in project management, architecture, engineering, or construction
- 12+ years of engineering and/or operational experience
- Demonstrated excellence in global project management practices
- Financial systems and project accounting expertise
- Strong collaborative skills with diverse stakeholders
- Technical background in life sciences, pharmaceuticals, or medical devices preferred
