QC Lab Technician

Job Description

Sirius Staffing is seeking a Quality Control Laboratory Technician for a contract position in Branchburg, NJ. This position is ideal for candidates with a strong chemistry background and hands-on laboratory experience who thrive in a fast-paced quality control environment. The QC Laboratory Technician will perform analytical testing on photolithography and specialty chemicals to ensure products meet quality specifications.

Schedule:

• Primarily 1st Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:30/4:00 PM
• Must be flexible to work 2nd Shift (11:00 AM - 7:30 PM) as needed for business coverage.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine quality control testing on production samples.
• Prepare samples and reagents while following established analytical procedures and standards.
• Conduct laboratory analyses including:
  • Solvent content
  • Viscosity
  • Specific gravity
  • Water content
  • Color
  • Normality
  • pH
  • Other chemical properties
• Review analytical data to verify compliance with product specifications.
• Maintain accurate laboratory records, documentation, and test results.
• Calibrate laboratory instruments and perform routine maintenance.
• Follow SOPs, safety procedures, and quality standards.
• Collaborate with production and laboratory teams to ensure timely testing and product release.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment.

Minimum Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Chemistry, Physics, or another related scientific discipline plus 2+ years of hands-on laboratory experience, OR
• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Physics, or another related scientific discipline with demonstrated laboratory experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Quality Control or Analytical Laboratory.
• Experience performing routine chemical analyses.
• Knowledge of laboratory safety practices and standard operating procedures.
• Ability to interpret technical data and maintain accurate documentation.
• Familiarity with laboratory instrumentation.
• Experience with SAP or LIMS is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong teamwork skills and commitment to safety and quality.
