Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Customs Broker Manager to oversee daily customs brokerage operations and ensure compliance with all applicable U.S. Customs and international trade regulations.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership experience in customs brokerage, import/export operations, entry writing, and regulatory compliance. This role will supervise a team of 4-5 customs brokerage professionals, including an Assistant Manager , while ensuring timely and accurate customs clearance, exceptional customer service, and operational efficiency.

• Manage daily customs brokerage operations and oversee a team of 4-5 professionals.

• Maintain an active U.S. Customs Broker (LCB) License .

• Review import documentation for accuracy and completeness prior to filing.

• Prepare, review, and process customs entries accurately and within required deadlines.

• Ensure compliance with CBP regulations and other Partner Government Agency (PGA) requirements.

• Classify merchandise accurately using the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) .

• Calculate and verify duties, taxes, and applicable fees against invoices and supporting documentation.

• Communicate with clients, carriers, CBP, and government agencies to resolve discrepancies, holds, and clearance issues.

• Respond to CBP requests for information, including CF-28s and CF-29s .

• Advise clients on customs compliance requirements, regulations, and best practices.

• Maintain current knowledge of changes to customs regulations, trade policies, and compliance requirements.

• Ensure accurate and timely processing of multiple entries in a fast-paced environment.

• Provide leadership, guidance, and support to the brokerage team.

• Support general compliance, documentation, and operational activities.

• Maintain strong customer relationships and provide excellent service.

• Work onsite in the Atlanta office; remote work is not available .

• Active U.S. Licensed Customs Broker (LCB) License - Mandatory.

• 7-10+ years of customs brokerage experience.

• Previous managerial or supervisory experience in customs brokerage operations.

• Strong hands-on experience with customs entry writing and processing .

• Strong knowledge of:

  • U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) regulations

  • HTS tariff classification

  • Import and export entry processing

  • Customs compliance

  • International trade regulations

  • Incoterms

• Experience handling import/export documentation.

• Strong customer service and client relationship management skills.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.

• Proficiency with customs brokerage software and Microsoft Office.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Ability to work accurately and effectively in a fast-paced environment.

• Ability and willingness to work onsite in Atlanta .

• Experience in the freight forwarding or international logistics industry .

• Experience working with cross-functional teams.

• Strong understanding of international trade practices.

• Commitment to ethical business practices and regulatory compliance.
