RN (Registered Nurse) ER Westlake Full time night

Registered Nurse (RN) – ER Night Shift – Westlake Location Wellington Regional Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join its Emergency Department on an overnight shift in the Westlake Location. The RN will deliver high‑quality, patient‑centered care in a fast‑paced environment, supporting both acute medical and trauma services. Job Requirements Graduate of an accredited or NLN‑approved RN program. BSN preferred. Minimum of 2 years emergency room experience. One to three years supervisory experience preferred. BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications current upon hire. TNCC certification within 6 months of hire. Current Florida nursing license. Must successfully pass any required pre‑employment assessment(s). Role and Responsibilities Assumes shift responsibility and accountability for the planning and provision of direct and indirect nursing care to patients, families, care partners, and other stakeholders. Coordinates multidisciplinary team members, directs and facilitates nursing staff in providing safe, optimal health care outcomes, and supports the facility’s vision, mission, and goals. Provides professional leadership and support to the healthcare team, employing patient‑centered care principles. Demonstrates Service Excellence standards at all times. Recognizes the signs and symptoms of stroke, initiates stroke alerts, performs the NIHSS, supervises thrombolytic therapy, and prepares patients for endovascular treatment as indicated. Maintains current stroke knowledge through annual training and continues education. The RN also provides support for inpatient stroke alerts and collaborates with the ED physician and ICU nurse as necessary.
