Compensation Range : $75,000 - $93,000 yearly commensurate with experience. Benefits : Three comprehensive healthcare plans; housing costs covered by Housing Works with staff paying a portion. Participation in award‑winning civil‑rights impact litigation and expansion of litigation skills. Overview Housing Works seeks a Staff Attorney to conduct poverty law and impact litigation. The role requires at least one year of housing court experience to provide services to indigent individuals living with HIV/AIDS and other vulnerable clients, focusing on housing law and related client services, while supporting award‑winning impact litigation. Responsibilities Intake, advice, and representation in all facets of housing law, benefits, consumer, and name‑change matters. Assistance in all phases of impact litigation on issues such as housing, disability, gender discrimination, public assistance, and homelessness. Qualifications Strong commitment to social justice and human/civil rights. Initiative and strong research, writing, and interpersonal skills. Significant experience with housing law.
