Best Practice Medicine is seeking a seasoned Operations Manager to provide strategic oversight and operational leadership. This role requires a proven leader with exceptional organizational and communication capabilities, experienced in managing distributed teams and complex logistics on a national scale.

The ideal candidate is prepared to transition from field-based operations into a stable, administrative leadership role, bringing a strong background in EMS, remote team leadership, and cross-functional coordination to support operational excellence and continued growth.

Compensation:

• Salary: $80,000.00
• This position may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses and/or equity incentives, subject to company policy.
  The actual compensation offered will be determined based on factors such as the candidate's relevant experience, skills, education, and internal equity.

Work Schedule and On-Call Expectations:

• Primary hours are 8 a.m to 5 p.m Monday to Friday (Flexible and additional hours as needed)
• Occasional off-hours work may be required, including weekends and holidays.
• Travel may be required outside of normal business hours

Staffing Oversight & Operational Readiness

Under the direction of the Director of Travel Paramedicine, you will oversee all aspects of travel paramedic staffing operations across multiple contract locations, ensuring appropriate coverage, operational readiness, and compliance with organizational policies.

Resource Tracking

Oversee and manage all staffing-related resources to ensure accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency.

Primary Employee Liaison

Serve as the central point of contact for travel paramedic staff, providing guidance, support, and clear communication to meet their operational and professional needs.

Contract Oversight and Field Leadership

Provide hands-on leadership and operational oversight for travel paramedic staff at new and existing contract locations. Travel to assignments as needed to ensure staff are properly deployed, supported, and equipped to meet operational requirements.

Basic Qualifications:

• 3+ years working full-time in the EMS system
• 2+ years in an incident command, operations supervisor, or similar management position
• Active National Registry certification and a valid state EMS license (Paramedic preferred) in good standing
• Professional demeanor with impeccable communication and team-building skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• 5+ years working full-time in the EMS system as a Paramedic (preferred)
• 3+ years in an incident command, operations supervisor, or similar management position
• 2+ years of experience in healthcare, administration, or similar
• Bachelor’s Degree in EMS, EMS Management, or Healthcare Administration

Work may occur in an office or remote setting. When working remotely, the employee must maintain a professional environment, including a quiet workspace, minimal distractions, adequate lighting, and a reliable internet connection.

Physical Requirements:

• Frequently: Sitting for extended periods, walking, standing, bending, and performing tasks requiring fine motor skills, including typing.
• Occasionally: Lifting or carrying items weighing up to 25 pounds independently.

• Occasionally: Analytical thinking and sound judgment.
• Frequently: Memorization, perception, computation, problem-solving, reasoning, and application of both simple and complex mathematical skills. Must be able to communicate clearly in small group settings.
