Location: Avera Palm Place | Sioux Falls, SD Position Type: Regular | Full-Time Work Schedule: Rotating Days, Evenings, Nights, Weekends, and Holidays Pay Range: $32.50 - $48.50 per hour Actual pay rate dependent upon experience. Position Overview: The Virtual RN provides comprehensive nursing care by developing nursing diagnoses, establishing patient care goals, implementing nursing interventions, and supporting patients and families throughout their healthcare journey. This role combines clinical expertise, critical thinking, patient education, and collaboration with healthcare teams to deliver exceptional patient-centered care. Key Responsibilities: Review physician orders and coordinate care with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare team members. Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans based on patient assessments and clinical findings. Provide physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients and their families. Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, treatment plans, and self-care strategies. Monitor patient progress and outcomes while modifying care plans as needed. Maintain a safe and secure patient care environment by following infection prevention protocols, medication administration policies, and regulatory requirements. Accurately document patient care activities and clinical interventions. Maintain patient care equipment and ensure necessary supplies are available and stocked. Demonstrate ongoing competency and commitment to professional nursing practice. Essential Qualifications: Ability to perform all essential job functions and meet the scheduling requirements of the position. Strong communication, assessment, critical thinking, and collaboration skills. Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, providers, and care team members.
