Job Description
Join Our Dynamic Family Birth Center Team!


- Shift: 12 hr Days, Every Other Weekend
- Location: Family Birth Center (L&D RP)
- Patient Capacity: 3 Rooms (crossing over to MedSurg if necessary)
- Required Certifications:
- BLS (AHA)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- ACLS
- Advanced AWHONN
- Experience: Minimum 2 years in L&D
- Nurse Ratios: 1 to 1 or 1 to 4
- EMR System: Cerner
- Charge Nurse: Yes
- Floating: Primarily to MedMed for tasking
- Floor Specific Orientation: At least 2 days based on experience and comfort
- Common Diagnoses: L&D RP patients
- Additional Notes:
- 150 to 175 Births per year
- May be the only L&D nurse on site (secondary L&D nurse on call)
- Responsibilities during c-sections include caring for the baby with assistance from RT & anesthesia
- Transfers for 36 weeks & less usually sent to Rogue Valley Medford or occasionally life-flighted to Mercy Redding
- Cancellation Policy: Up to 4 shifts for 13-week assignments, and 3 shifts for shorter assignments
