Our client, a Food, Sports and Entertainment company, is looking for a House Manager for their Detroit, MI location. Responsibilities include:

• Household Operations & Organization
• Maintain organization throughout the residence, including closets, pantries, storage rooms, playrooms, garages, and common living areas
• Develop and maintain household systems to ensure an orderly and efficiently run home.
• Manage seasonal household transitions, including wardrobe rotation, holiday preparation, and storage organization.
• Perform regular household walkthroughs to identify organizational needs and areas requiring attention.
• Coordinate household projects and special requests as assigned.
• Support general household administration and operational projects.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Laundry & Wardrobe Management
• Oversee all aspects of family laundry, including washing, drying, folding, ironing, steaming, and garment care.
• Maintain organized closets, dressers, and storage areas.
• Coordinate dry cleaning, alterations, and specialty garment care services.
• Assist with packing and unpacking for family travel as needed.
• Household Inventory & Purchasing
• Manage household inventories, ensuring groceries, household supplies, toiletries, cleaning products, children's items, and other essentials remain fully stocked.
• Monitor pantry, refrigerator, and storage areas for organization and replenishment needs.
• Research and purchase household supplies as directed.
• Maintain inventory records and proactively recommend replenishment of frequently used items.
• Track household purchases, receipts, and expenses as requested.
• Maintain organized records of household-related transactions and service documentation.
• Errands & Family Support
• Coordinate and complete various household and personal errands, including grocery shopping, post office visits, returns, prescription pickups, and specialty purchases.
• Manage incoming and outgoing deliveries, packages, and shipments.
• Assist with family scheduling, appointments, and logistical coordination.
• Provide support for special family projects, events, and gatherings.
• Assist with household calendars, reminders, and scheduling needs.
• Perform other job-related tasks as assigned.

Requirements include:

• We are seeking a highly organized, proactive, and service-oriented House Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of a busy private residence. This role is responsible for ensuring the home functions efficiently and seamlessly by managing household organization, inventory, errands, laundry, scheduling, and family support services.
• The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, resourceful, and able to anticipate household needs before they arise. The House Manager will work closely with the family and any household staff to maintain high standards of organization, cleanliness, preparedness, and overall household functionality.
• Previous experience as a House Manager, Family Assistant, Household Assistant, or similar role required.
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to anticipate needs and proactively solve problems.
• Demonstrated discretion and professionalism when handling confidential family information.
• Proficiency with household scheduling, inventory management, and administrative tasks.
• Ability to multitask and adapt to changing household priorities.
