Surgical Tech - Certified Surg Tech

Certified Surgical Tech (CST)The Surgical Department specializes in the surgical treatment of a broad spectrum of clinical conditions. Having highly skilled surgeons allows us to offer a wide variety of surgical procedures, including endocrine, breast, oncologic, gastrointestinal, and hepatobiliary procedures. The CST will act as a member of the surgical team and primarily function in a scrubbing capacity. The CST might also assist with circulating duties in the surgical suite. Maintaining aseptic techniques while providing a quiet environment in the OR suite is essential. The CST will share in OR suite preparation and will use and maintain specialized equipment and supplies for specific surgical procedures. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required. The ability to adapt quickly and effectively to stressful situations is essential. Requested time off during the course of this assignment must be included at the time of submission and may not exceed five days. Travelers may not take all holidays off and must work two blocks if scheduled/needed during key holiday periods. All scheduling requests must be made at the time of submission. Profile requirements include a skills checklist for certified surgical tech, supervisory signed references from the past two years, and active certifications.
