Director, Clinical Research, Obesity

Director-level position overseeing clinical research for obesity and metabolic disorders at a pharmaceutical company. Responsibilities include designing and managing late-stage clinical trials, analyzing study data, collaborating across functional teams, and maintaining scientific expertise in the obesity and metabolism field.

Responsibilities

Design and oversee planning of clinical trials and operational strategies for obesity-related studies
Monitor and manage conduct of investigational and marketed drug trials from initiation through completion
Analyze clinical findings and prepare reports supporting regulatory submissions and publications
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including regulatory, statistics, and commercial experts
Maintain scientific expertise through literature review, investigator networks, and conference attendance

Requirements

M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. degree
Minimum 3 years clinical medicine experience
Minimum 1 year industry drug development or academic biomedical research experience
Demonstrated scientific scholarship and publication record
Strong interpersonal and cross-functional teamwork abilities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Board certification or eligibility in Endocrinology, Cardiology, Nephrology, or related specialty (preferred)

Compensation: $255,800.00 - $402,700.00 base
