Flatbed Driver with Class A license for Regional Flatbed Division - Home Weekends

*Job Overview*
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our team flatbed team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting brass & copper rod on a flatbed trailer, with tarps and side kits. This position *pays a percentage of the load.* A strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and customer service, as you will be the face of our company during deliveries.

*Responsibilities*

* Operate truck and pull flatbed trailers, with side-kits and tarps.
* Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations.
* Safely load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling of goods, strapping and securement.
* Navigate assigned routes efficiently while adhering to delivery schedules.
* Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage and fuel usage.
* Communicate effectively with dispatcher regarding any issues or delays.
* Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal transportation regulations.
* Perform routine maintenance checks on the vehicle and report any mechanical issues.

*Skills*

* Proficient in operating commercial vehicles with manual transmission.
* Experience in route driving with a strong understanding of navigation systems.
* Ability to assist in loading and unloading cargo, assure proper load securement and breakdown of side kits, and handle tarping.
* Knowledge of safety protocols related to transportation and delivery services.
* Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for maintaining delivery records.
* Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and team members effectively.
* Previous experience as a delivery driver is preferred but not mandatory.
