How you'll contribute Under guidance of supervising OTR/L: acquire pertinent information and implement comprehensive program using varied techniques and treatment activities. Provide treatment to diverse diagnostic populations and complete supporting documentation according to hospital policy and State Practice Act. Instruct caregivers/family members in home exercise programs relating to patient’s functional and self-care status. Demonstrate appropriate and effective written, verbal, and nonverbal communication with team members through continuum of care. Able to assess patient pain interfering with optimal function; make appropriate interventions to reduce pain after consulting with supervising OTR/L and make appropriate physician contact as indicated. Additional requirements include: Previous experience in rehabilitation or acute care preferred. Current BLS/CPR required. Full mobility and ability to participate in vigorous activity. Ability to clearly and effectively communicate with all constituents. Must be physically able to lift, support, and move patients.
