We will be filling several Refill Pharmacy Technician positions which will go live Spring and Summer of 2026.The Refill Pharmacy Technician plays a critical role in supporting providers and patients by managing prescription refill requests in a fast-paced, office-based pharmacy environment. There is an opportunity for a hybrid/remote work schedule after fully trained. This unique position works closely with providers, clinical staff, and pharmacies to ensure refill requests are processed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with Indiana pharmacy regulations. Technicians in the refill department work at the top of their license and are entrusted with responsibilities that maximize their technical knowledge, analytical skills, and attention to detail. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced pharmacy technicians seeking to expand their skills and grow within a collaborative healthcare team.Key ResponsibilitiesCollaborate directly with providers and clinical staff to review, process, and manage prescription refill requests from patients and external pharmaciesAnalyze refill requests for accuracy, completeness, and appropriateness prior to pharmacist reviewEnter and maintain prescription and refill information accurately in the pharmacy systemCommunicate professionally with patients, providers, and pharmacies to clarify refill requests and resolve issues in a timely mannerEnsure all refill activities comply with state regulations, organizational policies, and patient safety standardsPrioritize workload effectively to meet volume demands while maintaining a high level of accuracySupport pharmacists and other pharmacy team members in daily operations as neededMaintain confidentiality and uphold HIPAA standards in all communications and documentationKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesStrong attention to detail with the ability to review and analyze medication refill requestsSolid understanding of common drug names, dosages, and pharmacy terminologyEffective written and verbal communication skillsExcellent organizational and time-management abilitiesAbility to work independently while also contributing to a team environmentDemonstrated commitment to accuracy, quality, and patient safetyQualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED requiredActive Indiana Pharmacy Technician License requiredMinimum of one (1) year of pharmacy technician experience (retail experience preferred; hospital experience considered)Requires Pharmacy Technician National Certification within one year of hire unless enrolled in accredited college of pharmacy or enrolled in or graduated from an ASHP/ACPE accredited Pharmacy Technician training program.Ability to work under pharmacist supervision and follow established proceduresWork Environment & ScheduleOffice-based setting within a provider-supported refill departmentSet schedule with no nights, weekends, or holidaysAfter an initial training period, partial remote work opportunities may be available based on performance, accuracy, and departmental metricsWhy Join This Team?Work at the top of your pharmacy technician license in IndianaEnjoy a stable, predictable schedule with work-life balanceBe part of a growing department with a supportive team environmentOpportunity for professional growth and skill development within the pharmacy fieldWe are an equal opportunity employer.
