Regional HR Manager

Vaco has an exciting opportunity for a Regional HR Manager with a leading transportation, logistics, and cargo-handling organization. This position will provide both strategic and hands-on HR leadership across multiple locations, supporting a fast-paced, unionized workforce. 25% required travel The Regional HR Manager will oversee employee relations, labor relations, compliance, payroll coordination, workforce planning, talent management, and employee engagement initiatives while serving as a key business partner to site leadership. Key Responsibilities Provide HR leadership across multiple regional locations Manage employee relations and performance management matters Partner with operations leaders on workforce planning initiatives Lead labor relations activities in a unionized environment Interpret and administer collective bargaining agreements Coordinate union dues administration and union communications Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws Oversee HRIS and payroll-related processes Support employee engagement and retention efforts Drive HR best practices and process improvements Assist with investigations, grievances, and disciplinary matters Support recruiting, onboarding, and employee lifecycle activities Required Qualifications 5+ years of progressive Human Resources management experience 3-5 years of hands-on Union, Grievence, CBA, and labor relations experience required Experience with HRIS and payroll systems Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR compliance Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field Ability to obtain required site access credentials and industry certifications Advanced Microsoft Office skills including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field Professional HR certification such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or equivalent Experience supporting transportation, logistics, manufacturing, distribution, or industrial operations Ideal Candidate Profile Strong labor relations background Experience handling grievances and contract administration Comfortable interpreting collective bargaining agreementsExperience communicating directly with union representatives Able to serve as the primary HR leader across multiple locations Hands-on and operationally focused leadership style Willing to work onsite and travel throughout the region Available to start within a short timeframe Compensation and Benefits Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
