Now Hiring: Special Education Teacher - K-8 & 7-11th Grade Cross Country Education is hiring Special Education Teachers for Clark County School District in Nevada , with three openings across campuses in Las Vegas and Henderson. CCSD identifies Special Education as a critical labor shortage area for the 2026-2028 period. Location: Clark County, NV Openings: 3 Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM-3:30 PM Hours: 37.5 hours/week Assignment: Now through May 26, 2027 Pay: $43-48+/hr based on experience (W-2) Caseload: Maximum of 12 students per teacher Campus Locations Nellis Campus - K-8: 107 Stafford Dr., Las Vegas, NV 89115 - 2 openings Cadence Campus - 7-11: 10 Cadence Crest Ave., Henderson, NV 89011 - 1 opening Key Responsibilities Provide specialized instruction and support to students with disabilities. Develop and implement individualized instruction aligned with student IEPs. Participate in IEP development, meetings, progress monitoring, and documentation. Create an inclusive and supportive classroom environment. Collaborate with related service providers, general education staff, families, and school leadership. Monitor student progress and adjust instruction based on student needs and data. Support students with diverse learning needs, including students with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Maintain accurate educational and special education records. CCSD's own Special Education teacher description emphasizes standards-based instruction, IEP responsibilities, and serving as the teacher of record for students with disabilities. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field. Valid Nevada teaching license with a Special Education endorsement - REQUIRED. Experience working with students with Autism - preferred. Strong understanding of IEPs, IDEA, and inclusive educational practices. Required Nevada fingerprinting/background check must be completed or in process as required for licensure. CCSD confirms that licensed employees may be required to complete fingerprinting through CCSD/Nevada licensure procedures.
