Position: Registered Nurse (RN) - Step-Down ICU and ICU Units

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Step-Down ICU and ICU units. The ideal candidate will possess strong ICU experience at a Level 1 Trauma Center and must be flexible to float to the Step-Down ICU as needed.

Graduate of an accredited nursing program; education verification required

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Utilize the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to provide high-quality care for patients.
Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies, procedures, and state laws/practice acts.
Document patient care in accordance with standards of care.
Develop, initiate, and implement an individualized patient care plan as prescribed by the physician and/or hospital policy, including patient and family education.
Participate in department or unit performance improvement activities, including shared governance.
Provide clinical expertise and guidance to other units/departments to support the patient's longitudinal plan of care.
Utilize critical thinking skills to ensure patient safety and enhance patient experience, escalating issues to the appropriate chain of command when necessary.
