Jamaica Hospital Medical Center is seeking an experienced NICU Registered Nurse to join our 19-bed Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, providing specialized care to premature and critically ill newborns.

We're looking for a neonatal nurse with the clinical judgment, critical-care experience, and compassion to care for our smallest and most vulnerable patients while supporting their families throughout the NICU experience.

What You'll Do

• Assess and monitor premature and critically ill newborns
• Administer medications, IV fluids, and prescribed therapies
• Manage specialized NICU equipment, including ventilators and incubators
• Provide and support NG/G-tube, bottle, and breast-milk feedings
• Assist with neonatal emergency and critical-care procedures
• Collaborate with neonatologists, respiratory therapists, and the multidisciplinary team
• Educate and support parents and families throughout their infant's NICU stay
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation

Requirements

What You'll Need

Current New York State RN license

Minimum 2 years of recent NICU RN experience required

Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required

Current BLS and ACLS certifications

BSN preferred

Strong neonatal assessment, critical-thinking, and emergency-response skills

Compensation & Benefits

$58.21/hour + differentials + full 1199 Union benefits
