The position offers 36 or 48 hours per week options. Anything over 48 hours is considered overtime. BLS certification is required, and CPI certification is preferred. The nurse will be responsible for managing up to 6 patients at a time. The unit activates a rapid response team as needed. Recent experience in a medical surgical setting is required. First-time travelers are accepted. Familiarity with Epic charting is necessary. No on-call duties are required, and floating to like units may occur. The schedule includes 6 weekend shifts within a 6-week period. The unit has a total of 32 beds. Applicants must have experience with blood product administration, central line blood draw, chest tube management, and colostomy/ileostomy care. Skills in feeding tube care, phlebotomy, and starting and maintaining IVs are essential. Knowledge of wound care and managing surgical drains is required. Interdisciplinary support is available in multiple areas. This position does not allow for local candidates within a 50-mile radius. Candidates must adhere to compliance requirements.
