About the Position

Job Title: Clinical Nurse I Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Home Health/Hospice Duration: 14 weeks Shift: Monday - Friday Hours per Shift: 8:30 am to 5:00 pm Experience: Minimum of two years of acute clinical nursing experience required, with clinical home health care and/or hospice experience preferred. License: Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state required. Certifications: Current BLS certification required. Must-Have: - Completion of an Associate's Degree in Nursing or higher education. - Must be a licensed driver with a safe automobile that is insured in accordance with state requirements. Description: The Clinical Nurse I role provides direct patient care in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act. This position collaborates with various disciplines of the healthcare team. It ensures the delivery of safe, timely, and appropriate quality patient care. Responsibilities include physical assessments, IV therapy, nursing interventions, pain management, medication administration, and specimen collection. The role involves meeting patients' nutritional needs and addressing teaching and discharge needs. Evidence-based best practices are utilized to meet patient care needs. The nursing care process is evaluated and adjusted as necessary, in consultation with appropriate personnel. Ethical, legal, and medical dilemmas are addressed with consultation when needed. Additional duties may be assigned.
