Monitor Technician

Job Description Inova Center for Personalized Health is looking for a dedicated Monitor Technician to join the team. This role will be full-time night shift (36 hours per week) from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, including weekends. Job Responsibilities Maintain rhythm strips and monitoring logs in accordance with unit policies and evidence by random audits of log books. Notify a nurse immediately of loss of clear telemetry signal and arrange for coverage when leaving the monitor room. Recognize, record and inform nurses of abnormalities or changes in patient waveforms. Troubleshoot and maintain equipment and supplies. Admit and discharge patients from the telemetry system in accordance with unit policy. Participate in unit quality improvement initiatives, evidenced by attendance at staff meetings and verbalizing understanding of unit initiatives. Page STAT to Registered Nurse and healthcare team members for patients with life‑threatening arrhythmias and initiate MSET per unit policy. Perform additional duties as assigned. Additional Requirements Education: High School diploma or GED. Preferred Experience Prior telemetry monitoring experience or EKG monitoring in a hospital setting.
